muthira uzhaiyai vanaththil muduki vaduvai azhiththu muthiya kayalkaL kayaththin idai Odi muraNa vaLarum vizhikkuL mathana viraku payitRi: Driving away the deer deep into the forest, making pickle out of the baby mango (in the brine) and catching hold of the big kayal fish and forcibly throwing them back in the pond*, the eyes (of the whores) thrive in contrast with them all and carry on erotic tricks;

muRaimai kedavu(m) mayakki varu(m) mAthar mathura amutha mozhikku(m) makuda kaLapa mulaikku(m) valiya adimai pukuththi vidu: these whores entice me with their nectar-like sweet speech making me stray from the righteous path; they forcibly pull me to their crown-like bosom, smeared with a paste of sandalwood powder, and literally enslave me;

mAya manathai udaiya asattu manithan muzhuthu purattan makizha unathu pathaththai aruLvAyE: I have the delusory mind that succumbs to their overtures; I am not only foolish but also the biggest liar; kindly elate me by granting Your hallowed feet, Oh Lord!
