வாட்டி எனைச் சூழ்ந்த வினை ஆசைய மூ ஆசை அனல்
மூட்டி உலை காய்ந்த மழுவாம் என விகாசமோடு மாட்டி
...
என்னை வருத்திச் சூழ்ந்துள்ள வினையும், மண், பெண், பொன் என்ற
மூவாசைகளும், தீயை மூட்டி உலையில் காய்ந்த பழுக்கக் காய்ச்சிய
இரும்பு போல விரிந்து வெளிப்பட்டு என்னை மாட்டி வைத்து,

எனைப் பாய்ந்து கடவோடு அ(ட்)டமோடு ஆடிவிடு
விஞ்சையாலே
... என்னைப் பாய்ந்து வாழ்க்கை வழியில் பிடிவாதமாய்
ஆட்டி வைக்கும் மாய வித்தை காரணமாய்,

வாய்த்த மலர்ச் சாந்து புழுகான ப(ன்)னீர்களோடு காற்று
வரத் தாங்குவன மார்பில் அணி ஆரமோடு வாய்க்கும் எனப்
பூண்டு
... கிடைத்துள்ள மலர், சந்தனம், புனுகுச் சட்டம், பன்னீர்
இவைகளுடன் நல்ல காற்று வர அனுபவித்து, தாங்குவனவாய் மார்பில்
அணிந்துள்ள முத்து மாலைகள் நன்கு கிடைத்ததென அணிந்து,

அழகு அதாக பவிசோடு மகிழ் அன்பு கூரத் தீட்டு விழிக்
காந்தி மடவார்களுடன் ஆடி வலை பூட்டி விடப் போந்து

அழகு பெற சோபையுடன் மகிழ்ச்சியும் அன்பும் மிகப் பெருக, மை
தீட்டிய கண்கள் ஒளி பொருந்திய விலைமாதர்களுடன் விளையாடி,
அந்தக் காம வலையில் பூட்டப்பட்டு அகப்பட்டு,

பிணியோடு வலிவாதம் என சேர்த்து விடப் பேர்ந்து வினை
மூடி அடியேனும் உனது அன்பு இலாமல் தேட்டம் உறத்
தேர்ந்தும் அமிர்து ஆம் எனவே ஏகி
... நோய்களுடன் வலிகளும்
வாத நோயும் எனப் பல வியாதிகள் ஒன்று சேர்ந்திட, நிலை மாறி
வினைகள் கவ்விய அடியேனாகிய நானும் உனது அன்பு இல்லாமல்,
சேகரித்த பொருள் நிரம்ப இருப்பதால், ஒருவாறு மனம் தெளிவு பெற்று
சாவு என்பதே இல்லை என்னும் எண்ணத்துடன் வாழ்நாளைச் செலுத்தி,

நமன் ஓட்டி விடக் காய்ந்து வரி வேதன் அடையாளம் அருள்
சீட்டு வர க(கா)ண்டு நலி காலன் அணுகா நின் அருள்
அன்பு தாராய்
... யமன் தன் தூதுவர்களை ஓட்டி அனுப்ப, மெலிந்து
போய், எழுத்துள்ளதும் பிரமனுடைய அடையாளம் கொண்டதுமான
ஓலைச் சீட்டு வர அதைப் பார்க்கும்படி வருத்துகின்ற காலன் என்னை
அணுகாதபடி உன்னுடைய அருளையும் அன்பையும் எனக்குத் தந்து

நாட்டவரைச் சேந்த கதிர் வேல் கொடு அமர் ஆடி

மீது வெகுண்டு குறப் பெண் வள்ளியுடன் நட்பு கொண்டு, அஞ்ஞான
நிலையரான அசுரர்களைச் சிவந்த ஓளி வீசும் வேலைச் செலுத்தி போர்

சிறை மீட்டு அமரர்க்கு ஆண்டவனை வாழ்க நிலையாக
வைகும் விஞ்சையோனே
... தேவர்களைச் சிறையினின்றும் மீட்டு,
தேவர்கள் தலைவனாகிய இந்திரனை வாழும்படி வைத்த கலைஞனே,

வேற்று உருவில் போந்து மதுரா புரியில் ஆடி வைகை
ஆற்றின் மணல் தாங்கும் மழுவாளி என தாதை புரம் மேட்டை
எரித்து ஆண்ட சிவ லோகன் விடை ஏறி இடமும் கொள்

... மாறுபட்ட உருவத்தோடு சென்று மதுரையில் பல
திருவிளையாடல்களை விளையாடி, வைகை ஆற்றில் மண் சுமந்தவரும்,
மழு ஏந்தியவரும், என்னுடைய தந்தையும், திரி புரங்களின் மேன்மையை
எரித்து ஆண்ட சிவ லோகனும், (நந்தி என்ற) ரிஷப வாகனத்தில்
ஏறினவருமாகிய சிவபெருமானுடைய இடது பாகத்தைக் கொண்ட தாய்,

கோட்டு முலைத் தாங்கும் இழையான இடை கோடி மதி
தோற்றம் எனப் போந்த அழகான சிவகாமி விறல்
கூற்றுவனைக் காய்ந்த அபிராமி மனது ஆர அருள் கந்த
வேளே
... மலை போன்ற மார்பகங்களைத் தாங்கும் நூல் போன்ற
இடையையும், கோடிச் சந்திரர்களுடைய வடிவையும் எடுத்து வந்தாற்
போல் அழகிய சிவகாமி, வலிய யமனைக் கோபித்து அழித்த
பேரழகியாகிய பார்வதி தேவி மனம் குளிர அருளிய கந்த வேளே,

கூட்டு நதித் தேங்கிய வெ(ள்)ளாறு தரளாறு திகழ் நாட்டில்
உறைச் சேந்த மயிலா
... வெள்ளாறும், மணிமுத்தா நதியும் ஒன்று
கூடிய ஆறு நிறைந்து வரும் விளக்கம் கொண்ட இடத்தில் உள்ள
கூடலையாற்றூரில்* வீற்றிருக்கும் சேந்தனே, மயில் வாகனனே,

வ(ள்)ளி தெய்வானையொடெ கூற்று விழத் தாண்டி எனது
ஆகம் அதில் வாழ் குமர தம்பிரானே.
