* When it was realised that the evil demons in Thiripuram could not be conquered until and unless they were made to give up their ritualisic worship of Lord SivA, Lord VishNu went to Thiripuram in the disguise of a buddhist priest and Sage NArathar went along with Him as His student. They performed many miracles, hypnotised the demons and made them forsake the worship of SivA - Siva PurANam. |
