துடித்து எதிர் வடித்து எழு குதர்க்க சமயத்தவர் ... உடல் பதைத்து, எதிர் எதிரே கூர்மையுடன் எழுகின்ற, முறை கெட்ட தர்க்கம் செய்யும் சமயவாதிகளின்

சுழற்கு ஒரு கொடிக் கொடி எதிர் கூறி ... சுழல் போன்ற கூட்டத்துக்கு கோடிக் கணக்கில் எதிர் வாதம் பேசி,

துகைப்பன அகிதத் தலை அறுப்பன அயில் விட்டு உடல் துணிப்பன ... மிதித்து வருத்தமுறச் செய்யக் கூடிய தீமைகளின் அதிகார நிலையை அறுத்துத் தள்ளக் கூடியதும், வேலாயுதத்தைச் செலுத்தி (பகைவர்களின்) உடலைத் துண்டிக்க வல்லதும்,

கணித் தலை மிசை பார முடித்தலை விழுப்பன ... நூல் வல்லவர்களின் தலை மீது உள்ள கர்வம் மிகுந்த தலைமுடியை விழுந்து போகும்படி செய்ய வல்லதும்,

முழுக்க அடிமைப் பட முறைப் படு மறைத் திரள் அறியாத ... யாவரும் அடிமைப்படும்படி ஒழுங்காக அமைந்துள்ள வேதக் குவியல்களெல்லாம் கண்டு உணராததுமான

முதற்பொருள் புலப்பட உணர்த்துவன் ... மூலப்பொருளை யாவருக்கும் தெரியும்படி தெளிவுடன் தெரிவிப்பேன்.

எனக்கு ஒரு மொழிப் பொருள் பழிப்பு அற அருள்வாயே ... (ஆதலால்) நீ எனக்கு ஒப்பற்ற பிரணவத்தின் பொருளை யாரும் பழிக்காத முறையில் உபதேசித்து அருள்வாயாக.

குடிப்பன முகப்பன நெடிப்பன நடிப்பன ... (போர்க்களத்தில் ரத்தத்தைக்) குடிப்பன ஆகவும், மொள்ளுவன ஆகவும், ஊறுவன ஆகவும், கூத்தாடுவன ஆகவும்,

கொழுத்த குருதிக் கடல் இடை ஊடே குதிப்பன மதிப்பன குளிப்பன களிப்பன ... செழிப்புற்றுக் குழம்பாக இருக்கும் ரத்தக் கடலுள் குதிப்பன ஆகவும், ரத்தக் கடலின் அளவை அளவிடுவன ஆகவும், அதில் குளிப்பன ஆகவும், அதைக் கண்டு மகிழ்வன ஆகவும்,

பகைத்து எழும் அரக்கரை இமைப் பொழுதினில் பொடிபடப் பொருது உழக்கிய பெருமாளே. ... பகைத்து எழுந்த அசுரர்களை ஒரு நொடிப் பொழுதில் தூளாகும்படி போர் புரிந்து கொன்ற பெருமாளே.

இப்பாடலின் கடைசி எட்டு வரிகள் போர்க்களத்தில் பேய்களின் நடனத்தை தாளத்துடன் வருணிக்கின்றன.

thudiththu ethir vadiththu ezhu kutharkka samayaththavar: With shuddering bodies, these religious fanatics indulge in unruly debates with sharp attacks against the opponents;

suzhaRku oru kodik kodi ethir kURi: to such typhoon-like crowd, It could retaliate with millions of counter-points;

thukaippana akithath thalai aRuppana ayil vittu udal thuNippana: It could sever the seat of vicious power that presides over oppressive and vindictive acts; It is capable of wielding the spear that shears the bodies of the enemies;

kaNith thalai misai pAra mudiththalai vizhuppana: It is capable of shedding all the hair of the (arrogant) experts of the texts;

muzhukka adimaip pada muRaip padu maRaith thiraL aRiyAtha: It is the one that has not been fathomed by the heaps of scriptures which are so orderly compiled that everyone surrenders to them;

muthaRporuL pulappada uNarththuvan: It is that primordial substance whose nature I shall explain to all with clarity.

enakku oru mozhip poruL pazhippu aRa aruLvAyE: (in turn) kindly teach me the meaning of the matchless PraNava ManthrA so that no one can point the finger at me!

kudippana mukappana nedippana nadippana: (In the battlefield) there were many fiends engaged in drinking blood; some scooped, and some soaked themselves in, blood; some danced in ecstasy;

kozhuththa kuruthik kadal idai UdE kuthippana mathippana kuLippana kaLippana: some dived into the thick sea of blood; some began to gauge the depth as a few merrily bathed in that sea; some onlooking fiends simply were overwhelmed with joy;

kuvattinai idippana sila pAdal padippana thiruppukazh eduppana mudippana: in that mirth, some began to knock down the mountains; some began to sing songs and some chanted the glory of Lord Murugan while some concluded with the tail-pieces of those songs;

payitRi alakaik kulam viLaiyAda: while the multitude of fiends were having a ball with such pranks,

pakaiththu ezhum arakkarai imaip pozhuthinil podipadap poruthu uzhakkiya perumALE.: You shattered the hostile and menacing demons into pieces in just a flash of a second and killed them in the war, Oh Great One!

The last eight lines of this song describe the dancing of the fiends in the battlefield very rhythmically.
