தூயா துதித்தவர்கள் நேயா வெமக்கமிர்த
     தோழா கடப்பமல ...... ரணிவோனே

ஏடார் குழற்சுருபி ஞானா தனத்திமிகு
     மேராள் குறத்திதிரு ...... மணவாளா

ஈசா தனிப்புலிசை வாழ்வே சுரர்த்திரளை
     ஈடேற வைத்தபுகழ் ...... பெருமாளே.

......... சொல் விளக்கம் .........

நாடா ... நாடித் தேடி ஆராய்ந்து பார்த்து,

பிறப்புமுடி யாதோ வெனக்கருதி ... இந்தப் பிறவித் தொழிலுக்கு முடிவே கிடையாதோ என்று எண்ணி,

நாயேன் அரற்றுமொழி ... அடியேன் ஓலமிட்டு அலறும் இந்த மொழி,

வினையாயின் ... என் முற்பிறவி வினையின் காரணத்தால்,

நாதா திருச்சபையி னேறாது சித்தமென ... நாதனே, உன் திருச் சந்நிதியிலோ உன் மனத்திலோ ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட மாட்டாது என்பதை யான் உணர்ந்து,

நாலா வகைக்கும் உனது அருள்பேசி ... பலவிதமாக உன்னுடைய திருவருளின் பெருமையே பேசி,

வாடா மலர்ப்பதவி தாதா எனக்குழறி ... என்றும் வாடாத உனது திருவடி மலர் என்னும் முக்தியைக் கொடுத்தருள் கொடுத்தருள் என்று குழறி,

வாய்பாறி நிற்குமெனை ... வாய் கிழிபட்டு நிற்கும் எனக்கு

அருள்கூர வாராய் ... உன் கிருபை கூடும்படி வந்தருள்வாயாக,

மனக்கவலை தீராய் ... என் மனத்துயரங்களெல்லாம் தீர்ப்பாயாக,

நினைத்தொழுது வாரேன் எனக்கு ... உன்னைத் தொழுது வருதல் என்பதே இல்லாத எனக்கும்

எதிர் முன்வரவேணும் ... நேர் எதிரிலே முன்பு எழுந்தருளி வர வேண்டுகிறேன்.

சூடா மணிப்பிரபை ரூபா ... தெய்வமணியின் ஒளி விளங்கும் உருவத்தாளும்,

கனத்த அரி தோல் ஆசனத்தி ... பெருமை வாய்ந்த சிங்கத்தின் தோலை ஆசனமாகக் கொண்டவளும் ஆகிய

உமை அருள்பாலா ... உமாதேவி பார்வதி அருளிய குழந்தையே,

தூயா துதித்தவர்கள் நேயா ... பரிசுத்த மூர்த்தியே, துதித்து வணங்குபவர்களின் நேயனே,

எமக்கமிர்த தோழா ... அடியேனுக்கு அமிர்தம் போல் வாய்த்த அருமைத் தோழனே,

கடப்பமலர் அணிவோனே ... கடப்ப மலரினை அணிபவனே,

ஏடார் குழற்சுருபி ... மலர் நிறைந்த கூந்தலை உடைய வடிவழகியும்,

ஞான ஆதனத்தி ... ஞானம் என்ற ஆசனத்தை (பீடத்தை) உடையவளும்,

மிகு மேராள் ... மிக்க கம்பீரமானவளும் ஆன

குறத்தி திரு மணவாளா ... குறமகள் வள்ளியின் அழகிய கணவனே,

ஈசா தனிப்புலிசை வாழ்வே ... ஈசனே, ஒப்பற்ற புலியூரில் (சிதம்பரத்தில்) வாழ்கின்ற செல்வமே,

சுரர்த்திரளை ஈடேற வைத்தபுகழ் பெருமாளே. ... தேவர் கூட்டத்தை வாழ்விக்கச் செய்த புகழ் கொண்ட பெருமாளே.

nAdA: After seeking the truth and analysing it,

piRappumudi yAthO venakkaruthi: I came to the conclusion that the birth cycle is never stoppable.

nAyE naratrumozhi vinaiyAyin: If my shouting of this truth is due to the karma in my previous birth,

nAthA thiruchchabaiyi nERAthu chiththamena: my Lord, my voice will never be approved in Your shrine or in Your mind.

nAlA vakaikkumuna tharuLpEsi: So I speak of Your Glory in several ways

vAdA malarppathavi thAthA: repeatedly seeking Your ever-fresh lotus feet!

enakkuzhaRi vAypA RiniRkumenai: I stand before You with a torn mouth due to screaming Your name;

aruLkUra vArAy manakkavalai theerAy: and You must come to me graciously to dispel my worries.

ninaiththozhuthu vArEn: Even though I never prostrate before You,

enakkethirmun varavENum: You must still come appearing right in front of me also!

chUdA maNippirabai rUpA: She has the bright form of the precious Divine gem;

ganaththavari thOlA sanaththi: She is seated upon the hide of a great lion; and

umai yaruLbAlA: Her name is UmA - You are Her son!

thUyA: You are of the purest form!

thuthiththavargaL nEyA: You are very dear to all Your devotees!

emakkamirtha thOzhA: For us, You are the greatest friend like the Divine Nectar!

kadappamala raNivOnE: You wear garlands made of kadappa flowers!

EdAr kuzhaRchurupi: She is so pretty with lovely hair full of flowers;

gnAnA thanaththi migu mEraL: She is seated upon the throne of Wisdom in a majestic pose; and

kuRaththithiru maNavALA: She is VaLLi, the damsel of the KuRavvas - You are Her consort!
