இருவினை ஊண் பசும் பை ... இரண்டு வினைகளுக்கும் உணவிடமான புத்தம் புது தோல் பை,

கரு விளை கூன் குடம்பை ... கரு வளருவதற்கு இடமான பாத்திரம் ஆகிய உடம்பு,

இடர் அடை பாழ் பொதும்பு ... துன்பங்களையே அடைத்து வைத்துள்ள, பாழடையப் போவதான குகை,

அகித வாரி இடை திரி சோங்கு ... துன்பமும் தீமையும் கொண்ட கடலின் நடுவில் திரிகின்ற மரக்கலம்,

கந்தம் மது அது தேங்கு கும்பம் ... மலச்சேறும் மூத்திர நீரும் நிரம்பிய இடம்,

இரவு இடை தூங்குகின்ற பிண நோவுக்கு உருவு இயல் பாண்டம் ... இரவிலே தூங்குகின்ற பிணம் போன்ற, நோயினுக்கு உருவாய் அமைந்த பாத்திரம்,

அஞ்சும் மருவிய கூண்டு ... ஐம்பூதங்களும் பொருந்தி உள்ள கூடு,

நெஞ்சொடு உயிர் குடி போம் குரம்பை ... என் மனத்துடன் உயிரும் (உடலை விட்டு) வெளியேறும் சிறு குடில் - ஆகிய இந்த உடம்பு

அழியாது என்று ... அழியாமல் நிலைத்து நிற்கும் என்று,

உலகுடன் ஏன்று கொண்ட கரும பிராந்தி ஒழிந்து ... உலகத்தாரிடம் நான் கொண்டுள்ள, வினைப் பயனால் வரும், மயக்கம் நீங்கப் பெற்று,

உன் உபய பதாம் புயங்கள் அடைவேனோ ... உனது இரண்டு தாமரைத் திருவடிகளை அடையும் பாக்கியத்தைப் பெறுவேனோ?

அருணையில் ஓங்கு துங்க சிகரம் ... திரு அண்ணாமலையில் உயர்ந்து ஓங்கிய பரிசுத்தமான கோபுர வாயிலில்,

கராம் புயங்கள் அமரர் குழாம் குவிந்து தொழ வாழும் அடியவர் பாங்க ... தாமரை போன்ற கைகளைக் கூப்பி தேவர்கள் தொழ வாழ்கின்ற அடியார்களின் தோழனே,

பண்டு புகல் அகிலாண்டம் உண்ட ... முன் ஒரு காலத்தில் சொல்லப்படுகின்ற எல்லா உலகங்களையும் உண்ட,

அபிநவ சார்ங்க கண்டன் மருகோனே ... புதுமை வாய்ந்த சாரங்கம் என்னும் வில்லை ஏந்திய வீரனாகிய திருமாலின் மருகோனே,

கருணை ம்ருகேந்த்ர அன்பருடன் ... கருணை நிறைந்த புலிக்கால் கொண்ட வியாக்ரபாதருடன்,

உரகேந்த்ரர் கண்ட கடவுள் நடேந்த்ரர் மைந்த ... சர்ப்ப சிரேஷ்டரான பதஞ்சலி முநிவரும் தரிசித்த நடராஜரின்* மகனே,

வரை சாடும் கலபக கேந்த்ர தந்த்ர அரச ... மலைகளைத் தூளாக்கும் தோகை உடைய மயில் வாகனனே, இலக்கிய நூல்களில் வல்லவனே, அரசனே,

நிசேந்த்ர கந்த ... சத்திய சிரேஷ்டனாகிய கந்தனே,

iruvinai UN pasum pai: It is just a green bag of skin in which the good and bad deeds are ingested;

idar adai pAzh pothumpu: It is a cavern, to be doomed soon, filled up with miseries;

akitha vAri idai thiri sOngu: It is a rudderless ship tottering in the mid-sea of distress and evil;

kantham mathu athu thEngu kumpam: It is a septic tank filled with faeces and urine;

iravu idai thUngukinRa piNa nOvukku uruvu iyal pANdam: It is but a sleeping corpse in the night and a receptacle for all diseases;

anjum maruviya kUNdu: It is a cage in which all the five elements are filled;
