* Once, a few boys of KrishNA's yAdhava clan dressed up a boy Samban, as a pregnant woman. They teased Sage DurvAsar asking him if the child would be a boy or a girl. Enraged DurvAsar cursed that a steel pestle would be born which would annihilate the entire yAdhava clan. When KrishNA heard about the curse arter the steel pestle was born, He scraped it into fine powder and poured it in mid-sea. Particles of the powder reached the shore and grew into wild weeds. Later, a riot broke out among the yAdhavas who fought plucking the weeds, stabbed and killed each other. One speck of the steel powder was swallowed by a fish that was caught by a hunter. When the hunter cut open the fish and found a sharp steel piece, he fixed it on the tip of his arrow. That is the arrow that killed KrishNA when He was reclining on a branch with His foot up as the hunter mistook KrishNA's foot for a bird.
