......... Meaning .........

vikada sangada vArththai pEsikaL avala mangaiyar Uththai nARikaL: Their speech is derisive and tormenting; these whores are the root-cause of all troubles; they exude a disgusting odour;

virivu adangida mAtRum vARu ena varuvAr tham vitham vithangaLai nOkki Asaiyil uparithangaLai mUttiyE thama idu marunthOdu sOtRaiyE idu vilai mAthar: checking their diminishing resources, they look for an opportunity to reverse that trend by carefully observing the day-to-day financial situation of their suitors and arouse their passion; then, these whores mix potions of subjugating medicine with the cooked rice and offer it to their suitors;

sakala manjanam AttiyE mulai pada vaLainthu isai mUttiyE varu sarasa ingitha nE(r)ththiyAkiya suzhalAlE sathi muzhangida vAy paN Anathu malara: they give their suitors many varieties of bath making sure that their breasts come in contact with them while bending; dancing rhythmically and provocatively, they show off their musical talent, with songs emanating from their mouth;

unthiyai vAttiyE idai thaLaravum ka(N)Nai Attum vEsiyar uRavAmO: they shake their navel to a regular beat as their waist caves in; they roll their eyes, shifting focus at all times; how could a liaison with such whores be beneficial?

thikiri koNdu iruLAkkiyE iru thamaiyar thampiyar mUththa thAthaiyar thilaka maintharai EtRa cUrarai vekuvAna senam adangalum mAtRiyE: With His disc* He converted the day into night; He arranged for the destruction of two brothers (KarNan and DhuriyOdhanan) along with the other brothers, elders like Bheeshmar and DhroNar, valorous youths like LakshakumAran (son of DhuriyOdhanan), the mighty demons who ventured to fight and all other people belonging to the enemy's side;

udal thakara angu avar kUttaiyE nari thiruki uNdida Arththa kULikaL adar pUmi akadu thunjida mUttu pAratha mudiya: their bodies were shattered to pieces and were chewed and eaten by the jackals; the devils made a din of noise throughout the battlefield whose core ground was totally destroyed; the great war of BhArath started by Him came to an end;

anparkaL EththavE ari aruLum maintharkaL vAzhththu mAyavan marukOnE: all His devotees chanted His name in praise; Yaman (God of Death), VAyu (God of Wind) and Indra who sired the PANdavAs, respectively, Dharman, Bheeman and Arjunan, worshipped Him, namely, Lord VishNu; and You are the nephew of that Lord!

amarar anthaNar pOtRavE kiri kadal athirnthida nOkku mA mayil azhakOdum pazhuvUrkkuL mEviya perumALE.: As the celestials and priests extolled, You took Your seat, mounting gracefully the famous peacock that is capable of jolting the mountains and the sea, in ThiruppazhuvUr**, Oh Great One!

* On the 13th day of the great War of BhArath, Jayathrathan killed Abimanyu, the son of Arjunan. Immediately, Arjunan took a vow that before the sunset of the next day, he would kill Jayathrathan, failing which he would kill himself jumping into the fire. Well before the natural sunset, KrishNa covered up the sun by placing His disc over it. Thinking that the sun had set, Jayathrathan ventured out from his hiding place, and Arjunan killed him by wielding the arrow of Pasupatha.
