kiNkiNi (beaded anklet), chilambu (anklet), maNi (bronze bell), sangam (conch shell), yAzh (a string instrument like veeNa), thaLam (cymbals), vEynkuzhal (flute), bEri (drum), maththaLam (percussion instrument) and mukil (thunder).

** Lord SivA came in the disguise of a Saivite sage to ThiruchchengkAttankudi to test the devotion of ChiRuththoNdar. He sought the offering of the meat of SeerALan, the little child of ChiRuththoNdar who readily fulfilled His wish. In the end, SivA appeared in His true form, resurrected the child and blessed the parents and the child - Periya PurANam.
