kAlanidath thaNugAdhE: In order that I never reach the place of Death-God (Yaman),
kAsiniyiR piRavAdhE: and in order that I never take another birth in this world,
seela agaththiya nyAna: I need the Great Knowledge that You preached to the virtuous sage, Agasthiyar,
thEnamudhai tharuvAyE: which is as sweet as the Divine Nectar.
mAlayanukku ariyAnE: You are beyond the reach of Vishnu and BrahmA!
mAthavaraip piriyAnE: You never part company with great sages who have done penance.
nAlu maRaip poruLAnE: You are the substance of the all four VEdAs (Rik, Yajur, SAma and AtharvaNa).
nAgagirip perumALE.: You have Your abode at NAgagiri (known as ThiruchchengkOdu*), Oh Great One!
