kalakkum kOthu aRa vadikkum seeriya karuppanjcARu enu mozhiyAlE: Their speech is sweet like the filtered juice of sugar-cane from which the toxic fibres have been fully removed;
karuththum pArvaiyum urukkum pAvikaL kadaik kaN pArvaiyil azhiyAthE: their stares simply melt one's thoughts and looks; I do not wish to be destroyed by the killing gazes from the corner of the eyes of those whores;
vilakkum pOthakam enakku enRE peRa viruppam sAlavum udaiyEn: instead, I would very much desire to achieve true knowledge that alone could destroy such delusions; such knowledge should be specifically meant for me, (not being made available to others).
