panjavar kUdith thiraNda thOrnara uruvAyE: the five elements gathered together to create this human body;
panthama thAkap piNintha Asaiyil ingitha mAkath thirinthu: driven by attachment leading to desire, this body roamed about merrily;
mAtharkaL paNpozhi cUthaik kadanthi dAthuzhal padiRAyE: being unable to cross over the deceitful and immoral trickeries of the whores, I became a lying vagrant;
sankada nAkith thaLArnthu nOyvinai vanthudal mUda: I was distressed and weakened; many diseases and my bad deeds swathed my body.
