manaththin pangena thangu aimbulaththu: My five perceptory senses are the outlets of my mind;
endran guNaththu anjindhriyath thambandhanai: my character is built on those senses and my body is the pillar to which the perceptory organs are tied.
sindhum padikAlan: To knock off (my mind and body), KAlan, Messenger of the God of Death, comes;
malar senkaN kanaR pongun: with a spark of fire sprouting from his red flowery eyes;
thiRaththin thaNdeduth: picking up the powerful mace in his hand;
aNdam kizhiththu indru inguRa: he is coming fiercely, piercing the sky, today, to take my life away.
thangum palavOrum: All the relatives residing in my home
enakkendring unakkendru ang: try to loot my property, saying, "this is mine and that is yours;
