In the page regarding Kanda shasthi kavasam parayanam there is an explanation about Saint Devarayan requesting everyone to recite Kandha shasthi kavasam 36 times a day. Looks like the person who explained this has mis-interpreted what Saint is saying. Actually saint says "ORUNAL MUPATH AAR URU KONDU" - 36 URU Means SARAVANABAVA, RAVANABAVASA, VANABAVASARA, NABAVASARAVA, BAVASARAVANA, VASARAVANABA printed in copper plate. Saint says we need to keep this URU while reciting Sri Kanda shasti kavasam. Hope this clears confusions.

This is a wonderful site, lyrics meaning, music, kovil photos all are so useful to the devotees, also it's a site I can recommend to all children since it's safe. What I mean is, it's been a shock to move to the west and found that Hinduism is depicted in the west like a mix of voodoo and pornography, some sites are frightening and totally unsuitable for children or any devout Hindu.

Am a great baktan of Muruga, even though I've been in the UK for 2 years, my faith n immense love for Muruga is still intact. I would be over delighted if I could get in my mail box at least 2 songs sung by TS Soundarajan, Ullam Urugudayya and Azhagendra Solluku Muruga. I just love these 2 songs. I can read Tamil, and would very much appreciate to have these in Tamil in my mail box. Muruga is my favourite and I've treat him as a friend of mine. Not like God. Whatever events happen, whether its bad or good, I've always talk with him via my inner part. Muruga always led me to think in a effective ways. I've found good and bad with the guidance of Muruga. Muruga always helps me whenever I've stuck on my way. He recovered me all the way from lot of problems. I've always feel, I've got some kind of relations with him from my birth. Whatever problems I've came across, it was solved by Muruga. I've always feel, he got an eye on me to chase the nasty things. Whenever I had problems, I've used to say, Hi Muruga, see, this is my problem. As a friend if you could help me, I would be grateful to u. As a nasty person, whenever he recovers me from the problems, I've used to forget him on the next second but he didn't forget me at all. He always used to help me, whether I say hi to him or not. This is the thing, I always wonder, how much kindness and mercy he has. I want to complete my Pogam Life and want to come under ur feet Muruga.

I would like to know one detail about who is teaching thirupugazh at present in Chennai City by Thirupugan Anbar. I heard from my friend Guruji is not conducting classes now a days. Other than Guruji any other thirupugazh anbar is conducting classes at chenai? If so, please let me know the details where, when etc.

I set my font to mylai plain. But when I start typing, the font is in english. I tried the macro as well. Due to some reason, whenever I type using the english keyboard, the font changes to the default font say timesroman and I have to manually change the font. Any suggestion? Thanks.

vetrivel muruganukku haro hara.

I learnt thiruppugazh in the year 1979. I forgot some of the tunes though I used to sing in the house on shashti days and all Murugan festival days. Felt really blessed when I came to know of this website. I am able to recollect them now I will practise again listening whenever I get time.
