I want to know the kolam that should be drawn for pooja for eg we draw the chandran kolam on mondays or draw shri lakshmi kolam for mahalakshmi pooja. My daily pooja includs kanda shasti kavacham, kumara sthavam, subramania bhujangam, and prassana mala manthram. I have heard that drawing the kolam and chanting is very beneficial. Please do tell, thank you.

One more point your audios are very good espeacilly for the likes of me who cannot read tamil. I have a collection of murugar songs by Purasai Arunagiri. It is so devotedly rendered it moves u to tears. I recomend the same for all the devotees.

It is a very wonderful site with extensive work on all subjects. It is quite amazing that whoever has worked on this Lord Muruga Project must be really blessed by the Lord Himself. To bring about the innumerable number of songs with its meaning both in Tamil and English is really a stupendous task. I was trying to download the 569th song from Madani on Viralimalai but I think there is a problem in the Audio Section. Sai ram,

Recently, I went on a pilgrimage to Karnataka and it was wonderful by all means. I was so satisfied, but I was disappointed a little as I was not able to visit Kukke Subramanya Swami's temple.

Before going on the pilgrimage, I came across some info stating that if we are lucky enough, we will have the darshan of a black snake - it is said that these snakes take care of the Lord.

As we were driving to Kollur, a black snake passed in front of our car and I was soooo happy with Muruga's grace - because I am close to Amma's physical form and do not know much about Subramanya Swami.

The next day in Bangalore, in a temple I was standing in front of Muruga and as I was praying I let out my disappointment of not visiting His temple to Him.

The next morning we were to go to Coimbatore and then to Rameswaram - we had a stop at our friends place in Coimbatore - Just when we was about to start, n my friend's brother who provided us the transport suggested "why don't you go to Palani before you go to Rameshwaram" - that really brought tears in my eyes - it is because of the way the Lord responded. The previous evening I am in the temple praying to Him about not being able to visit Kukke temple and the next day morning I am in Palani Subramanya Swami's temple (actually visiting this temple was not in our plan) - how can this happen if not for His grace - thanks oh Lord for Your blessing.

I went through a few pages of your website and it is highly good. I have created a small website. The web address is www.geocities.com/muruganskandhan. It contains a few songs of Saints Sambandar, Appar, Thirumoolar, Pattanithaar, Vallalaar, Arunagiriyaar and Paamban Swamigal. The songs are given in Tamil with their meaning in English. The Tamil version is through .bmp version and so it can be read without any special font. I request you to mail this information to all your members. I welcome them to view the site and send me their comments to improve that site and also it will encourage me to prepare further sites in praise of Lord Ganesa and Muruga.

I have two requests:

(a) How can I see the whole thing? What font should I download?

(b) When I see meaning of "Muthaithiru" I see it mixed with Vishnu avatharams and some verses are about Muruga, this raises the doubt that how accurate your meaning is. Am I missing something? Please let me know. I would like to know the proper meaning of those verses.

1. If you don't see Tamil font then your computer may be connected in a network (with firewall) which may not allow the 'dynamic' font to work. You may have to install the 'SaiIndra' font manually. Instructions are given at the bottom of (most) pages.

2. Thiruppugazh is the divine work of Sri AruNagirinathar. His poems reflect the Greatness of Lord Murugan in the Hindu Religion (Sanatana Dharma). As you read the poems (and the meanings), you will gain the knowledge of KandhapurANam, MahAbAratam, RAmAyaNam, SivapurANam and several other epics in our religion. Ultimately the Greatness of Lord Murugan is the climax of these poems. The meanings given are as accurate as can be. The Tamil language used in these poems is precise yet very descriptive. One should first read the poem as a poem (literature), then understand the part of the PurANams, MahAbAratAm, etc. Finally you can realize the 'REAL meaning' of Murugan! Thank you!
