    The SivAchAriyaar Kachiyappar worships Lord KumaravEl. The Lord appears in his
    dream and instructs him to write the Kandha PurAnam. After it was written, it was
    proof read by the Lord Himself when placed at His feet. During its introduction
    to the audience, the Lord Himself came as a poet and explained its contents.
