PurAna PAlana KirubA MUrthy
The illiterate Malai Iyer nearing his death, is saved by Lord Murugan, and made to excel in academics. He composes the 'ThiruchendhUr PurAnam' but was prevented from inaugurating it by Thirisudhandhirar. Heartbroke, he throws the PurAnam in the sea and dies. The PurAnam miraculously reaches KathirkAmam and is discovered by a MurugA devotee, MurugathAsar, there. He brings it to ThiruchendhUr with much devotion and is finally inaugurated.
