    Lord BrahmA once spoke low of the VEl. Subsequently He was cursed and had to
    wander in the forests as a hunter. As advised by the sage, PipalAthar, He
    observes the fast of Karthigai, and becomes the king AthikamAn. At the request
    of the DEvAs, Lord MurugA frees him of the curse and also returns the title of
    'creator' to him at ThiruAvinankudi.
