Temple History (briefly narrated by the President Thiru M. Arumugam)

The temple was started in 1950. Worship then was under the 'Arasa' tree. Around 1960, a zinc-roofed structure was built and maintained by a religious lady (AmmA). In 1966 the temple was rebuilt on a larger land.

The South Indian Welfare Home (which was adjacent to the temple), was much involved in the functioning of this temple.

In 1998 Maha KumbAbishEgam was held.
